You can use our website without providing any personal data. However, the use of certain services on our website may be subject to different rules, which, in such cases, are explained separately below. Data is considered personal if it can be unambiguously assigned to a specific natural person. The provisions below inform you about the nature, scope, and purpose of the collection, use, and processing of personal data by the provider.
Personal Data
Definition of “Personal Data”
According to the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), personal data refers to specific information about the personal or factual circumstances of an identified or identifiable natural person. In other words, it is information that provides any details about a person, such as name, occupation, age, etc.
We process your personal data (e.g., name, address, email, phone number, etc.) only in accordance with the provisions of German data protection law.
However, this does not apply to sufficiently anonymized data that can no longer be readily attributed to a specific individual, such as statistics on user behavior (e.g., anonymized IP addresses).
Type of Data Collection
We only receive data related to you as an individual—such as your name, phone number, or email address—if you expressly provide this information to us, for example, by sending us an email or registering for one of our services.
We store this data for as long as it is necessary to provide the corresponding service or respond to your email; after that, it is deleted. We, of course, treat your personal data confidentially and do not pass it on to third parties under any circumstances. You may request information about your data at any time (see the “Right to Information” section for more details).
Our services only collect the personal data necessary for the respective service. In individual cases, you may be asked to voluntarily provide an additional declaration of consent.
It is entirely up to you whether you choose to enter this data. We store your information on specially secured servers. Access to this data is restricted to specifically authorized individuals responsible for the technical or editorial management of the servers.
We use your personal data exclusively to process your specific inquiry or provide the requested service. Your data will not be processed for any other purposes. In particular, your personal data will not be disclosed to third parties.
The legal basis for this processing is Article 6(1), first sentence, letter b of the GDPR.
Double opt-in process
We use the so-called double opt-in procedure to activate individual services that involve personal data. After you sign up for a service, you will receive an email from us. The service will not be activated until you click on the link contained in that email.
Data Security/Storage
SSL Encryption
To protect the security of your data during transmission, we use state-of-the-art encryption methods (e.g., SSL) via HTTPS.
However, please note that complete security cannot be guaranteed in electronic communication.
The provider assumes no responsibility or liability in the event of faulty data transmission or unauthorized access by third parties. Unless otherwise specified, data is stored and processed exclusively on servers located in Germany.
Server Data
For technical reasons, the following data—among other things—that your web browser transmits to us or to our web hosting provider is collected (so-called server log files):
Your IP address
the website from which you are visiting us (referrer)
the web pages you visit on our site
Date, time, and duration of the visit
HTTP status code
Amount of data sent
Browser Type
Browser Settings
Operating System
We use this data exclusively for the purpose of ensuring the proper operation of our website, and it is automatically deleted after 60 days.
All data in the log files is not directly linked to personal information and is never combined with other personal data. We log your visits for data security reasons, to ensure the stability and operational reliability of our systems, and to defend against unauthorized attacks. The log data is therefore used exclusively for internal purposes and is never disclosed to third parties.
The legal basis for this processing is Article 6(1), first sentence, subparagraph (f) of the GDPR. The processing is based on our legitimate interest in analyzing traffic on our website to enhance your user experience and to generally optimize the website.
Contact Form and Contacting Us by Email
On our website, we offer you the option to contact us via email and/or through a contact form. In this case, the information provided by the user is stored for the purpose of processing the user’s inquiry. This information is not shared with third parties. The data collected in this manner is also not cross-referenced with data that may be collected by other components of our website.
The legal basis for processing your data is our legitimate interest in responding to your inquiry pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR and, where applicable, Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR, provided that your inquiry is aimed at entering into a contract. Your data will be deleted once your inquiry has been fully processed, provided that no statutory retention requirements prevent this.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies, which are stored by your browser on your device and contain certain settings related to your use of the website (e.g., for your current session). Cookies help make our website more user-friendly, effective, and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser. Most of the cookies we use are so-called session cookies, which are automatically deleted when you close your browser. Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them or their storage period expires. These cookies allow us to recognize your browser the next time you visit.
In some cases, cookies are used to simplify website processes by storing settings (e.g., retaining previously selected options). If personal data is also processed by individual cookies we have implemented, such processing is carried out in accordance with Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR either for the performance of a contract or in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR to safeguard our legitimate interests in ensuring the best possible functionality of the website and a user-friendly and effective design of the user’s visit.
You can configure your browser to reject cookies in general or to require you to confirm the acceptance of cookies on a case-by-case basis. If you choose to reject cookies altogether, you may not be able to use certain features on the website. The Help menu in most web browsers explains how to prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, how your browser can notify you when you receive a new cookie, and how to disable all cookies. You’ll also find more information on this below.
In addition to the cookies already mentioned, which are used by analytics services (so-called “web tracking”), we also use cookies in the following categories on our websites, such as:
Session cookies:
This type of cookie is deleted when the browser is closed; they are valid only for a single browser session.
Persistent cookies:
This type of cookie remains in place permanently (even after the browser is closed) and stores information such as login credentials.
Third-party cookies:
This type of cookie is controlled by third parties who, for example, display advertising banners on a website.
If you do not want websites to use cookies, you can control this in your browser's settings. There, you can also view a list of your stored cookies.

Data Disclosure and Recipients
Your personal data will not be transferred to third parties, except
if we have explicitly indicated this in the description of the respective data processing.
if you have given your explicit consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) of the GDPR,
if the disclosure is necessary pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) of the GDPR to assert, exercise, or defend legal claims, and there is no reason to believe that you have an overriding legitimate interest in preventing the disclosure of your data,
in the event that there is a legal obligation to disclose data pursuant to Article 6(1), sentence 1, letter c of the GDPR, and to the extent that this is necessary pursuant to Article 6(1), sentence 1, letter b of the GDPR for the performance of contractual relationships with you.
We also use external service providers to handle our services; we have carefully selected and formally contracted these providers in writing. They are bound by our instructions and are regularly monitored by us. Where necessary, we have entered into data processing agreements with them in accordance with Article 28 of the GDPR. These service providers handle web hosting, email distribution, and the maintenance and support of our IT systems, among other tasks. The service providers will not disclose this data to third parties.
Retention Period for Personal Data
The duration of the storage of personal data is determined by the applicable statutory retention periods (e.g., under commercial and tax law). Once the respective period has expired, the corresponding data is routinely deleted. If data is necessary for the performance of a contract or for entering into a contract, or if we have a legitimate interest in continuing to store it, the data will be deleted when it is no longer necessary for these purposes or when you exercise your right of revocation or objection.
Your Rights
Below you will find information on the rights granted to you under applicable data protection law with respect to the controller regarding the processing of your personal data:
The right, pursuant to Article 15 of the GDPR, to request information about your personal data that we process. In particular, you may request information regarding the purposes of processing, the category of personal data, the categories of recipients to whom your data has been or will be disclosed, the planned retention period, the existence of a right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, or objection; the existence of a right to lodge a complaint; the origin of your data, if it was not collected by us; and the existence of automated decision-making, including profiling, and, where applicable, meaningful information regarding its details.
The right, pursuant to Article 16 of the GDPR, to request the immediate rectification of inaccurate personal data or the completion of your personal data stored by us.
The right, pursuant to Article 17 of the GDPR, to request the erasure of your personal data stored by us, unless the processing is necessary for the exercise of the right to freedom of expression and information, to comply with a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest, or to assert, exercise, or defend legal claims.
The right, pursuant to Article 18 of the GDPR, to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data if you contest the accuracy of the data, if the processing is unlawful but you oppose its erasure, and if we no longer need the data but you require it to assert, exercise, or defend legal claims, or you have objected to the processing pursuant to Article 21 of the GDPR
The right, pursuant to Article 20 of the GDPR, to receive the personal data you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, or to request that it be transferred to another controller.
The right to revoke your consent, granted pursuant to Article 7(3) of the GDPR, at any time with future effect.
The right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority pursuant to Article 77 of the GDPR. As a general rule, you may contact the supervisory authority of the federal state where our registered office is located, as indicated above, or, if applicable, the supervisory authority of your usual place of residence or workplace.
Right to Withdraw Consent Pursuant to Article 7(3) of the GDPR: You have the right to withdraw your consent to the processing of your data at any time, with effect for the future. In the event of withdrawal, we will delete the relevant data without delay, unless further processing can be based on a legal basis that does not require consent. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of that consent prior to its withdrawal;
Right to Object
If we process your personal data on the basis of legitimate interests pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, you have the right under Article 21 of the GDPR to object to the processing of your personal data, provided that such objection is based on reasons arising from your particular situation. If the objection is directed against the processing of personal data for the purpose of direct marketing, you have a general right to object without being required to specify a particular situation.
If you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal or objection, simply send an email to: kontakt@kinderarztpraxis-am-theo.de
Registration Feature
On our website, we offer you the option to register for various services. The data you enter during this registration process—which is visible in the registration form’s input fields—is collected and stored solely for the purpose of using our services. When you register on our website, we will also store your IP address and the date and time of your registration. This serves as a safeguard on our part in the event that a third party misuses your data and uses it to register on our site without your knowledge. The data will not be disclosed to third parties. The data collected in this manner will also not be cross-referenced with data that may be collected by other components of our site.
Use of Google Analytics with the anonymization feature
We use Google Analytics on our website, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, hereinafter referred to as “Google.” Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies,” which are text files stored on your computer that enable an analysis of your use of the website.
The information generated by these cookies—such as the time, location, and frequency of your visits to the website, including your IP address—is transmitted to Google in the United States and stored there.
We use Google Analytics on our website with an IP anonymization feature. In this case, your IP address is truncated by Google while still within the member states of the European Union or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, thereby anonymizing it.
Google will use this information to evaluate your use of our site, to compile reports on website activity for us, and to provide other services related to website and Internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required by law or where such third parties process the data on Google's behalf.
According to Google, it will under no circumstances associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. You can prevent the installation of cookies by adjusting your browser settings accordingly; however, please note that in this case, you may not be able to use all the features of our website to their full extent.
In addition, Google offers an opt-out option for the most common browsers, which gives you more control over what data Google collects and processes. If you enable this option, no information about your visit to the website will be transmitted to Google Analytics. However, enabling this option does not prevent information from being transmitted to us or to other web analytics services we may use. For more information about the opt-out option provided by Google and how to enable it, please visit the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de
Use of Google Maps
This website uses the Google Maps API to visually display geographic information. When using Google Maps, Google also collects, processes, and uses data regarding visitors’ use of the map features. For more information about Google’s data processing, please refer to the Google Privacy Policy. There, you can also change your personal privacy settings in the Privacy Center.
Use of script libraries (web fonts, jQuery, etc.)
To ensure that our content is displayed correctly and visually appealing across all browsers, we use script libraries and font libraries on this website, such as Google Web Fonts (https://www.google.com/webfonts/). Google Web Fonts are cached in your browser to prevent them from having to be reloaded multiple times. If your browser does not support Google Web Fonts or blocks access to them, content will be displayed in a default font.
Calling script libraries or font libraries automatically establishes a connection to the library operator. In theory, it is possible—though it is currently unclear whether, and if so, for what purposes—that operators of such libraries may collect data.
You can find the privacy policy of the library operator, Google, here: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/
