Schedule a Flu Shot Appointment

Please remember to get your flu shot for the 2026/27 flu season, even during the winter of 2026/27. We administer the 2026/27 seasonal flu vaccine to parents, children, and adolescents as indicated, in accordance with STIKO recommendations, either covered by statutory health insurance (GKV) or as a self-pay service (IGEL) for individual health protection.

STIKO Information on the Flu Vaccine

Flu Vaccination for Children - Information from the BiÖG (Federal Institute for Public Health)

The Standing Committee on Vaccination (STIKO) recommends an annual flu vaccine for all children 6 months and older who are at higher risk of severe flu because they have certain underlying medical conditions, and it also covers the costs in these cases, such as:

  • chronic respiratory diseases (including asthma)

  • Heart or circulatory diseases

  • Liver or kidney disease

  • Diabetes or other metabolic disorders

  • chronic neurological diseases such as multiple sclerosis

  • Congenital or acquired immune system disorders or HIV

If a family member living in the child's household has one of the conditions listed above, the flu vaccination can also be billed using the child's insurance card.

In all other cases, your health insurance provider will often cover the costs of the vaccination and the vaccine anyway; you’ll just have to pay upfront and will then be reimbursed—this is known as an IGEL service. Please contact your health insurance provider.

If you're interested, book a last-minute appointment through the online reception desk starting in mid-October.
